Kristen grew up in Denver but isn’t entirely new to North Carolina. She and her husband met at
Wake Forest University where they both played Division I soccer for the Demon Deacons. She
was sidelined in high school by a knee injury and decided to pursue a career in physical therapy
after her own rehab journey back to the field. She has a special interest in ACL prevention and
rehabilitation in female athletes, including studying movement mechanics, nutrition, training
volume, and mental health.
Kristen is committed to getting to know each of her patients on a personal level in order to
understand their unique concerns and goals. She believes that the greatest thing healthcare
providers can do for their patients is to listen and allow adequete time to address their concerns,
a rare gift that this clinical practice model allows.
In her free time, Kristen embraces her esteemed role of Soccer Mom, which includes cheering
on her three kids from the sideline, at hopefully different game times when the stars align. She
enjoys exercising (non-contact only, because who has time to rehab another ACL), walking her
dog in the evenings with her husband because it’s their only time to talk, and watching or
reading the latest rom-com series way too late into the night.
